The Athenis Finlandiae Cultural Event

Athenis Finlandiae cultural event has been held annually in Jyväskylä Finland since 2008. Athenis Finlandiae highlights the interdisciplinary and inter-artistic aspects of Finnish history and popularizes the Latin erudition in Finnish culture. The primary aim is to provide a forum where science, art and culture lovers can meet with like-minded Finnish and international friends.
This year's theme at Athenis Finlandiae is Finland. Athenis Finlandiae includes interesting and fascinating topics from famous lecturers and also programs for the whole family! The event is going to be hosted by the member of Finnish parliament Aila Paloniemi – memorable encounters will happen!

Former Prime Minister of Finland Paavo Lipponen, Mayor of Jyväskylä Timo Koivisto, Minister of Education and Culture Sanni Grahn-Laasonen who is the official patron of the event, President of Bridges Finland 2016 (USA) Reza Sarhangi, STEAM learning expert from University of Jyväskylä Kristof Fenyvesi, Suomi100 regional coordinator in Central Finland Raija Partanen, Regional Council of Central Finland Tapani Mattila, Rector of Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences Jussi Halttunen, Rector of the University of Jyväskylä Matti Manninen and Mathematics teacher, contend of Varkey Foundation Global Teacher Prize 2016 -competition among the top 10 Maarit Rossi.
