Abstract
Participants will review, explore and develop geometric concepts
and vocabulary, through guided discovery, by building polyhedra
with giant, brightly-colored, connectable equilateral triangles.
Activities will be geared for teachers of all levels. Learning
issues and instructional strategies will be related to teacher-student
'hidden contracts' and the Van Hiele Model of Geometric Thought.
