2010 Accommodations
UPDATE: The two featured hotels and the featured hostel are SOLD OUT. Your best option if you are still looking for accommodations is to visit http://www.pecshotels.com/, where you can search all of Pécs' hotels.
The Bridges Conference has partnered with three selected Bridges Accommodations offering quality and easy accessibility at reasonable prices. Participants are also free to make their own arrangements in other hotels in Pécs city. Please note that the availability of rooms at the Bridges Accommodations are limited. The places will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
For discounted rates on the two hotels below (Palatinus and Patria) complete theCultural Center Registration Form (in Excel format) and do a bank transfer of funds to the Pécs Cultural Center. Be aware that the Pécs Center offers no refunds. Exact prices in Euros or US dollars will depend on the current exchange rate.

Because Pecs is a European Cultural Capital City in 2010, you should not delay reserving a room. Hotels are also available through web sites such as http://www.hotels.com, which accept credit cards but will not offer the same discounted rates as shown below.
Hotel Palatinus - "THE VENUE"
The Plenary Sessions and the Bridges Exhibition will take place here. It is situated in the historic inner-city, and a favourite accommodation among famous guests. This hotel is called the "Jewel of the Golden Age" and if you once enter into the magnificent lobby of the fin-de-siècle hotel you will understand why. Its stylish restaurant, grand ballroom and conference hall and the imposing entrance are all Art-Nouveau masterpieces.

Hotel Pátria - "THE OLD TOWN"
History at your doorstep. This hotel is in 10 minutes walking distance from THE VENUE, situated in the old town centre, right next to a historical Turkish minaret. Before or after the sessions, sip a freshly brewed exotic coffee or an aromatic tea in the Espresso Café and relax on the summer terrace of the hotel's restaurant. Step out of the hotel and explore the lively cultural and social life of the city or just enjoy splendid city views from the Zsolnay-tiled balconies.

Hostel Valeria Koch - "THE HOSTEL"
This hostel is 25 minutes walking distance from the centre, at the Southern slopes of Pécs's hill, the Mecsek. All rooms have private baths. After breakfast just take the Bridges Bus to the centre, and when the day is over, this bus will also take you back.
- Single room - 40 USD/person/night (appr. 7.170 HUF) plus service charge
- Double room - 34 USD/person/night (appr. 5.970 HUF) plus service charge
The Hostel Valeria Koch rates include breakfast, VAT, local tax and daily transfer between the hostel and the conference venue. There is a six-day package (July 23-28) for the conferenceperiod plus options to stay one or two additional days before and after the conference.
