Bridges 2020 Virtual Conference
Bridges 2020 was originally scheduled to take place August 1–5 at Aalto University in Helsinki and Espoo, Finland. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, we were forced to cancel the in-person conference. Instead, we are hosting a Bridges Virtual Conference this year. We have created a special site for the virtual conference: 2020.bridgesmathart.org. For the virtual conference, many authors have created video presentations or special websites. We are hosting a small number of live events, including Zoom-based workshops, and the complete art gallery, short film festival, and poetry reading can all be visited online. The full Bridges 2020 Virtual Conference launches on Saturday, August 1st!
Many Bridges participants enjoy collecting the books we produce every year. We can't hand out books in person at the conference, but we are still offering three printed books this year. They can be purchased from Lulu by following the links below.
- Buy the Proceedings (containing all Invited, Regular, Short, and Workshop papers). We are pleased to announce that for the first time ever, the Proceedings will be offered in colour!

- Buy the Poetry Anthology. We are also offering a premium edition of the Poetry Anthology, which uses higher-quality paper and printing.
Because of the unusual circumstances, this year we have waived all conference registration fees. However, the Bridges Organization still has ongoing operating expenses throughout the year. Please consider making a donation to the Bridges organization.
We are also pleased to announce that Bridges 2021 will be held at Aalto University, in Helsinki and Espoo, Finland, 2–6 August 2021. We look forward to seeing you there!

Coronavirus Update:
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Bridges 2020 conference has been moved online. Presenters will be invited to create videos to accompany their papers. We will publish a website with the papers and videos, together with space for online discussion. Watch this space and the Bridges mailing list for announcements.
We are pleased to announce that Bridges 2021 will be held at Aalto University, in Helsinki and Espoo, Finland, 2–6 August 2021. Later this summer we'll provide more information about the 2021 conference.
