KEYNOTE SPEAKERS

  • Chaim Goodman-Strauss, (University of Arkansas) mathematician, geometer and graphic artist, coauthor of The Symmetries of  Things with John H. Conway and Heidi Burgiel.
  • Rinus Roelofs, mathematical sculptor, designer of real and virtual structures inspired by Leonardo da Vinci and  M.C. Escher.
  • Doris Schattschneider, author of M.C. Escher: Visions of  Symmetry (Abrams), M.C. Escher Kaleidocycles (Pomegranate), and editor of M.C. Escher's Legacy (Springer).
  • Carlo H. Sequin, (U.C. Berkeley) designer of geometrical sculptures, mathematical models, toys, puzzles, buildings, and integrated circuits.
  • Dick Termes, internationally acclaimed painter who uses six-point perspective to bring the surrounding world to the surface of a "Termesphere".
  • Dmitri Tymoczko, (Princeton University) composer and music theorist.  His article "The Geometry of Musical Chords" was the first music theory article ever published by Science.
