Bridges 2017 Public Events

The Bridges conference loves to find opportunities to engage with the local community, creating events and performances that demonstrate connections between mathematics and art. This year there are a few ways that members of the public can join us. Registered Bridges conference participants should consult the complete list of events.

UWAG Exhibition

The University of Waterloo Art Gallery (UWAG) has partnered with Bridges to create an exhibition of five local artists who explore mathematical themes in their work. The exhibition runs concurrently with the conference, and is free and open to the public.

Formal Music Night

An evening concert of mathematical choral music, performed by a specially-formed ensemble of choristers and professional soloists. A large number of free tickets are available; you can reserve yours online.

Family Day

An afternoon of community activities, games, workshops, interactive demonstrations, presentations, performances, and art exhibitions for children and adults, free and open to all. Stop by and wander through the space, build some models, watch a poetry reading or a reel of short films, and visit our art exhibitions.
