Reza Sarhangi Memorial Fund
The Reza Sarhangi Memorial Fund will extend the ability of the Bridges Organization to support travel to the conference by students and others who can not otherwise afford to attend. Getting the next generation of scholars involved in the intersection of math and art was a central interest of Reza's, so this will help continue his mission for years to come. In addition, we plan to create an annual Reza Sarhangi Memorial Lecture at the Bridges conference and this fund will be used to help support speakers in this lecture series.
In 2017, many Bridges artists generously donated their artworks to the conference, allowing us to hold a silent auction in support of the fund. More information about this auction can be found at RezaFund.org. Watch that site for other fundraising initiatives in the future.
