"Fermat Point"

The Fermat Point of a triangle is the point of least total distance from the vertices of a given triangle. The painting depicts that the Fermat Point of a triangle can be obtained by constructing equilateral triangles on each side and then joining the vertices of the original triangle and the equilateral triangles. It also shows that circles with the sides of the triangle as chords also intersect at the Fermat Point.
