Anne Burns is Professor of Mathematics at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University.
"The Moraine on a Cloudy Day" was the result of a program written in Visual Basic using various
fractal, recursive algorithms for drawing clouds, mountains, plants, etc. It was inspired by a visit to
Rocky Mountain National Park while participating in the Art+Math = X Conference in Boulder in June.
"More Iterated Mobius Transformations" is one in a series of pictures where recursion is used to show several stages
in an iterated function system composing transformations from the Unit Circle Group with mappings from
the unit disk into 12 smaller disks tangent to the unit circle and tangent to a smaller central disk."
