"Mine Space is a cubic volume filled with the
spiky spheres resembling sea urchins. The regular pattern of their
arrangement is multiplied by the wide-angle lens of the camera producing
triangular sections of the space rendered.
"Unwrapped Space is a render of a CG model I
created. The usual single point of view camera has been replaced with a
spherical camera. The result is a view of the model projected onto a
sphere which is unwrapped to produce the final image. This allows the
viewer to observe the model from every single direction at once, creating
this unwrapped space.
"Four-dimensional Sculptue, which I developed as a part of my thesis,
is a render of a model capturing the
motion of a running figure. But instead of seeing a single time instant
image it shows multiple snapshots.
The result is very similar to the strobe light photography by Edgerton.
The difference is that the model is split into multiple pieces. Each piece
has snapshots taken at different frequency dependent on the size and speed
of movement. This is noticeable on the arm and hand, since there are
twice as many snapshots of the hand as there are of forearm. Also, in
order to better capture the motion, the set difference has been aplied
between consecutive snapshots. The result is a snapshot with the next
snapshot subtracted from it. "
